What do you think about fashion stores in SA?

So I have this crazy obsession about shops displays,  merchandising and sales assistants.  I like going around and even if I'm not looking to buy something,  just browsing at the displays and items available.
I see shops investing millions into upgrades and displays,  but then you walk inside and you can't choose anything simply because it's not merchandised properly. Mannequins dressed like they belong in the circus, yes, fashion is mad these days, but does anyone actually buy it? Maybe they do, if they have the time to try and match the items they like into an outfit that would look good in.... But honestly,  isn't that what mannequins are for?!? We live in a fast, busy world and few people have the time on their hands to spend hours shopping! I have tried looking through magazines as well.... but same thing there! The craziest the photo shoots,  the more rave the stylists get for it... and from who? Other stylists of course. ... nobody (or maybe just a few) would like to get dressed like a clown!
Sales assistants a whole other subject that I will later go into. It can get pretty complicated.
I would like you to help me do a little survey for myself.
Am I the one that thinks this way about the merchandising of shops in SA?

It's 12:30 am and I've just woken up with the guts to finally do this.
I so badly wanna write, but where do i begin? !?
Let me first tell you what my blog is gonna be about.  A few things that intrest me, mainly 'Fashion' and 'cooking', myself and my family!  :)
My reason for inverted comas you wonder?!?
Well, by fashion I don't mean high end fashion and 'things' that only Lady Gaga would wear. I mean fashion that is comfortable,  pretty and affordable!
By 'cooking', I meant mostly baking,  because that's what I love to do!

So, now that I have officially written my first post,  you will see alot of me.
(Just bear in mind that I'm new to this, and if I'm not doing things right you are welcome to give me ideas, I would love that!!!!)
